Scott Gilberts

//  Owner, Lead Drafter

Scott’s extensive background makes him invaluable to any drafting project. His 30 years in the field allow him to foresee the way buildings fit together and to predict potential problems before they arise. He has a keen understanding of what drawings require to move through their various stages of development and can ensure their progression. Scott's an expert leader in design documents production because of his focus on the quality and clarity of graphic presentation.

Scott Gilberts’ professional drafting career began in 1978. Throughout his career, Scott has had the good fortune to work with many of the Northwest's most influential structural engineers. He helped to pioneer the application of computer aided drafting to structural engineering in the early 80s, and from 1998 to 2008, he was an owner of Swenson Say Fagét, a structural engineering corporation in Seattle, Washington. In addition to his work in the field, Scott has also been an active CAD instructor for architects and engineers at Seattle community colleges.

Scott volunteers for the Northwest Youth Music Association and the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps. He is also passionate about working with non-profits that provide housing and counseling for homeless and drug addicted teenage mothers and their children, such as Hannah’s House and Teen Challenge.

“Working with Scott is simply a pleasure. There is no mistaking his style and precision. I know that my finished work will be beautiful, accurate and complete, and I will have enjoyed getting there.”
